Come and make your very own ceramic soap dish in a relaxed, small-group workshop at my home studio in Waikuku Beach. We’ll work with beautiful speckled stoneware clay, and I’ll guide you step-by-step through the hand-building process—no experience needed.

After the workshop, I’ll glaze your piece in a clear or white glaze, then it will be fired and finished ready for you to enjoy at home.

What you’ll learn

  • Simple slab-building and joining techniques

What’s included

  • Speckled stoneware clay

  • Use of tools and equipment

  • Underglaze decorating time

  • All firings

  • Final clear/white glaze applied by me

Good to know

  • Ages: 16+

  • Experience: Not required

  • Group size: Limited to 5 people

  • Pickup: Finished pieces will be ready 3–5 weeks after the workshop (collection date arranged after firing)

Timing notice

This workshop includes time to make your Soap Dish. Please note that timing can vary depending on each person’s working speed and design choices. I’ll do my best to keep everyone moving at a steady, enjoyable pace, but some participants may finish earlier or need a little longer. Thanks for your flexibility while I support all makers through the process.

Cancellation policy

Your booking is confirmed once payment is received.

  • More than 24 hours’ notice: If you can’t attend, please let me know at least 24 hours before the workshop and I’ll issue a voucher/credit to use for a future class (valid for 6 months).

  • Less than 24 hours’ notice or no-show: Unfortunately, I’m not able to offer refunds or credits, as I’ve held your spot and prepared materials.

Unclaimed pieces

Finished pieces can be collected from the studio once you’re notified they’re ready. If pieces aren’t collected within 3 months of that notification, they’ll be considered unclaimed. I’ll do my best to contact you first, but after 3 months pieces may be disposed of or donated to make space, unless you’ve been in touch to arrange a later pickup.
